Why isn't there a price for each dimension in the table? Because it would be made up. We calculate per project, not per square meter, and the only figure we can confirm without seeing the plot is that for 8 × 4.
There is another reason, more important for the budget: price does not scale linearly. That's why a serious offer is not written without information about the depth.
The most important threshold in the whole story is 100 m³ of waterUp to that limit, in practice we choose salt electrolysis — a system that produces chlorine from salt dissolved in water, without dosing chemicals from canisters. Above 100 m³ we switch to automatic control for liquid chlorine and pH, because electrolysis of that capacity is no longer a reasonable choice. These are not contradictory figures but two different things.

The lower number is the price. materials if you do everything yourself; the price is higher services in which someone else keeps the water running and the engine room running. If you maintain yourself, the reference is the limit values from Ordinance NN 59/2020: pH 6.5–7.8 and free chlorine 0.2–1.0 mg/l. This regulation does not apply to private family pools, but is a useful technical guideline.
Filtration electricity: calculate in kWh, not in euros
Calculate the consumption of the filtration pump from the information written on the pump itself: power in kW × hours of operation per day × number of days = kWhJust multiply that number by your tariff, because energy prices vary by supplier and model.
The hidden cost of the 2026 season: in the period 01.04.–30.09.2026. consumption above 3,000 kWh during that six-month period, it is charged 35 % more expensive (HEP ODS, from 1.1.2026.). That's exactly the period of the pool season. If you add up the consumption of filtration and heat pump to household consumption, the threshold is crossed more easily than it seems — so it pays to run the pump at a lower tariff.
The network part of the bill is public and fixed: white model €0.065702/kWh in VT and €0.028689/kWh in NT, blue model €0.052324/kWh, with a RES incentive fee of €0.013239/kWh. This is not the price of the energy itself.
Do I need a building permit for an 8×4 pool?
No, but a master plan is needed. The 8 × 4 pool has 32 m² floor area, well below the 100 m2 threshold. According to Regulations on simple and other buildings and works, Art. 4, item 1, c), without a building permit, and in accordance with the main project, a "swimming pool with a floor area of up to 100 m² buried in the ground" may be built as an auxiliary building on the building plot of an existing building, for the needs of that building.
The three conditions are cumulative: up to 100 m² in floor plan, buried in the ground, on a plot of an existing building and for the needs of that building. In addition, according to Art. 6, paragraph 3 of the same Ordinance, The investor is obliged to report the start of construction.. And another limitation that people skip: according to Art. 1. paragraph 2., buildings from the Ordinance may not be built if it is prohibited by the spatial plan or otherwise contrary to the spatial plan. The spatial plan of your municipality is the actual filter, not the square footage.
